MOALBOAL I KAWASAN FALLS, CEBU

Moalboal is a small town located south west of Cebu Island. It is mostly used as an entry point to the Panagsama & White Beach (wikipedia).

Getting there:

You may take a 3-3.5 bus ride or Van at the South Bus Terminal. Then tell the driver to drop you at the Moalboal Town proper. From there, take a trike or Motorbike going to the White beach and will cost you 40.00/ride but I suggest to rent a motorbike if you know how to use it.

Moalboal White Beach is populous for foreign tourists because of its tranquil surroundings,

fine white sand, crystal blue waters and best spot for sun bathing. 

(I wanna get tanned too,so I lay down the white sand just like the Caucasians .lol)

If you want some adventure or water sports, locals are offering Island hopping, Kayaking & snorkeling.

KAWASAN FALLS

Since I rented a motorbike, I decided to have a side trip to Kawasan Falls. Kawasan Falls is situated in Brgy. Matutinao, Badian, Cebu. A 20 minutes ride (19 KM) from Moalboal and a 2 KM's trek from the Main road. Along the way locals are selling refreshments like fresh buko juice and other Filipino Merienda or Snack recipes.

Kawasan Falls is very famous for both locals and foreign tourists because of its natural ice cold waters. Kawasan has three falls, the first one is the largest and the most crowded and an uphill climb for fifteen to 20 minutes for the second and the third falls.

 Kawasan Falls also offers an overnight stay at a very affordable rates.

Before leaving the town, don't forget to try the halo-halo in front of the church.
