Britania Island is located in Barangay Britania, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur. It has more than 20 islets scattered around Lianga bay and facing the Pacific Ocean. The view is exceptionally fantastic when you arrived at the shore, mangrove trees are being protected by the people in Britania, the limestone which surrounded by powdery sand and crystal waters is much better from the Beach of Boracay I would say.
Getting there:
There are two options getting to the Island. If you're coming from Manila, take a 5-6 hours drive from Davao or 2-3 hours from Butuan City. I suggest take the Butuan flight, for you to lessen the very exhausting long hour ply. From the airport, take a jeepney/multicab going to the Bus Terminal for a fare of 15 pesos then take a Bus bound to Tandag and dropped off at Salvacion junction (Fare is roughly 150.00-200.00) or you may take a Van from the airport bound to Tandag for 300-350.00. From the junction take a tricycle or a motorbike going to Britania Port.
I was born and raised in this Province but it was my first time to visit
this Magical Place about a year ago(2013). Without a doubt, I felt like I am tourist in my own
hometown. crazy! Thanks to my friends for bringing me in this
enchanting beach.
It was almost lunch time when we get to the Port of Britania. Good thing there are uncooked seashells and fresh fishes for sale since we bring nothing on our way there. They're selling this stuff for a low-cost prices.
ISLAND HOPPING
Boat rental are ranging from 1,000.00-1,500.00 depends of how many islands you are going to visit. And more than 20 islets for a day tour is not really enough. There are resorts who offers for an overnight stay like La Entrada, the hotel are surrounded by lots of mangroves who offers for an affordable rates.
HAGONOY ISLAND
Our first stop was supposed to be in Naked Island, there is no cottages or trees on the island, it made up with purely white sand floating on top of the water but since it was a high tide, we go directly to Hagonoy. The fine powdery sand and crystal blue water excites me to plunge the salt water.
Twin island both named Panlagangan which contain secret Cave & pocket Forest.

BOSLON ISLAND
Boslon is the largest island among the group, there's a statue of the Virgin Mary and the cross standing in the Island. This is best site also for campers who wants to stay for an overnight. The island has also a floury white sand and lucid blue waters which you'd probably enjoy swimming.
